Cancel This! Teens say stupid, offensive things online
As long as there has been an internet, there have been teenagers saying and doing stupid things on it. But instead of shaming and ridiculing teens for what they post online, we should show them how to be cautious of what they share and not to bully their peers.
In the latest episode of “Cancel This!”, Gothix reflects on her own experiences on the internet growing up; discusses the benefit of parents monitoring their child’s screen time; explores the now-viral incident of Jimmy Galligan sharing a video of his classmate Mimi Groves saying the N-word in a years-old Snapchat video; and describes how parents can help show their kids how to behave online without the entire internet judging them for it.
